In loving memory of Paul Balderson who sadly passed away on 31st May 2026 after a courageous 6 year battle with prostate cancer. Loving husband to Ifrah and doting dad to 3 daughters.

Paul fought this disease with strength, courage and determination. Unfortunately the cancer was too aggressive, even for Paul’s fight. He died peacefully and content by the final wishes he had made. See you in heaven.

KEEP IT REAL, STAY WITH THE FIGHT!

They say you never truly know someone until they're gone, and that is certainly true with Paul.

Working with him showed his dedication, professionalism, and commitment to his role and the business. But today, hearing more about the man he was outside of work, I realise just how special he truly was.

Learning about the love he had for his family, the support he gave to those around him, and the unwavering dedication he showed to the people he cared about has been both moving and inspiring. It has painted a picture of a man whose impact reached far beyond the workplace.

I feel incredibly privileged to have known Paul. He will be remembered not only for his hard work and commitment, but for the kindness, love, and strength he brought to so many lives.

Rest in peace, Paul. Gone, but never forgotten. ❤️

Rest in peace, Paul. I didn’t know you for very long, just over a year since I first attended one of your Combat classes, but I was hooked from the start of your Muay Thais! You always struck me as one of the friendliest, most caring, genuine, and uplifting people I’ve ever met. You had a special way of bringing people together and creating a real sense of community wherever you were. It was truly a privilege to have known you. You will be greatly missed and thinking of you in every Combat clsss. Rest in peace xx

There were 34 PB's at the parkrun done in Paul's honour at Clifton Park so I'm donating £1 for every PB to the Rotherham Hospice.
The PB's that day , for me , stood for Paul Balderson because he always pushed for everyone to give their Personal Best in each of his classes and he was the Best of People .
I've known Paul since he started teaching at Bannatynes and watched his popularity grow with his high energy classes ( who needs abs , get a couple more Muay Thais done 😁 )
Some of us also joined him as his classes spread to X4L , where he , obviously, became an instant hit.
He made his classes fun and wasn't afraid to make fun of himself , or dish out punishment press ups to certain people who got the moves wrong when they should have known better 😳, even doing them himself on the rare ocasion he messed up.
Paul, It's so unfair what happened to you , rest in peace , you're no longer in pain.

  • Thank you, Dave. He really was the Best of People and had the biggest heart! I think he made those rare mistakes on purpose because he secretly loved press ups! Xx
