In loving memory of Janet Wilson who sadly passed away on 2nd June 2026.

Known as Jan, but at least as often as Nanny or Nanny Janny

Wife to David since 29th July 1985, almost 41 years

Mother to Kevin and the late Fred

Biological grandmother to Stacey, Stephanie, Natasha and Amy and adoptive grandmother to Stuart and Danielle

Great-grandmother to Dionne, Cole, Jayden, Jessica, Isaiah and Robyn and, by extension, to Kate, Hunter and Harper

She had struggled with a number of medical conditions for some years. In the end, these conspired to take her from us. She had been in considerable pain for a while before passing, but fortunately it was not a long while.

She is now free of pain and at peace.

She will be missed.

I’m so pleased to have had the opportunity to meet Jan when she wasn’t so poorly. This photo is from a time we met for lunch in Huntington (2022) with her lovely sister Chris, and a relative. Rest in peace Jan x💐

  • Here are some photos of our times with Jan in the UK and Canada. Jan & Dave were our Chaperons on our first date and were the ones that taught Ian to play canasta. Over the years we visited many places with them and had several almost all night canasta games with a ‘Few’ Drinks and some good food!!!! Good memories……

I always looked forward to seeing Jan and having a catch up. She was an inspiration and such a kind person. Jan spoke very highly of Dave and always praised him as a wonderful husband.
Jan always looked forward to visits from her family, making sure she had supplies in for a fun evening. I loved hearing about how much she enjoyed these visits at her next appointment.
Jan will be very missed in the salon by everyone

Love Naomi xx

Jan brought warmth, laughter, and kindness wherever she went. She found so much joy in Charlotte’s fitness classes over the years, cherishing the fun and friendships she made there. Elaine always enjoyed painting and decorating for Jan and David, and every visit was filled with laughter and a good giggle.

Jan was a wonderful person with a great sense of humour, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

With love and deepest condolences,
Elaine and Charlotte x
