In loving memory of Daisy Elizabeth Roe who sadly passed away on 19th May 2026 at Good Hope after a brief illness.

Born just before the outbreak of WWII, Daisy was the first of five children and so helped look after her younger siblings. Caring for others, particularly youngsters, would go on to be something that defined life for Daisy. While still a teenager she met the love of her life John who also came from a large family. Once married they bought a terraced house in Tamworth where they were to remain for the rest of their lives. During the early years children started to arrive - five in total - and with them came the hustle and bustle of family life in a house that wasn't that big. Nephews and nieces shared the same love, house, and occasionally meals too. As children left the nest the next generation arrived in the shape of eight grandchildren. Eventually there were an additional five great-grandchildren. All were shown the same love and kindness and never was a birthday missed.

Daisy's family would like to thank everyone for their kind deeds and words at this difficult time. To quote one ex-neighbour, "if the world was full of Daisy Roes it would be a much better place."

If you wish to make a donation to either of the charities select by Daisy you can do so using the links on this page or at the funeral. Family flowers only please, as Daisy wanted.

RIP Mum/Grandma/Great-Grandma x

Daisy, I will always appreciate how you welcomed me as one of your beautiful (if a little quirky at times) family. I was grateful how you were able to sense my utter confusion and bewilderment at the shenanigans that would occur at the annual Roe Boxing Day gatherings and how you always had quiet words of support and encouragement. I want you to know that your gentle soul, your strong family values and moral compass is evident daily within in Scarlet and Doyle. Big G, may you rest peacefully. Tracey x
