We first met Ann over 40 years ago at St Joseph’s School, when our children were there, and what began then evolved into a lifelong friendship that we will always treasure.
Ann was such a warm, happy person who loved a good chat both in person and on the phone. She always made people feel welcome. We shared so many happy times together over the years, but some of our fondest memories are the simple Saturday evenings - having a takeaway, with Ann and me sitting together in her lounge, putting the world to rights, while Tony and Andrew would often have a cheeky drink at the pub while they were waiting for the takeaway to be cooked.
We also always remember Ann’s wonderful New Year’s Eve parties - the incredible food she lovingly prepared, the laughter and the way she brought everyone together so effortlessly. Ann had a gift for making people feel so at home and making every gathering feel special.
Over the years, Ann became far more than just a friend - she became such an important part of our life and some of our happiest memories. We feel incredibly fortunate to have known her for so many years.
She will be deeply missed and always remembered with love by us.
