Many thanks to everyone who has kindly left a message, photo, candle and/or a donation in memory of our, beloved, Dave. You all know he would be saying, ‘Don’t be making a fuss about me’ - but at the same time, I think we know he would be truly bowled over by the love and support shown by friends and family alike, on this page.
So, thank you all so very much for your kindness and generosity. The charities I’ve chosen to support, in Dave’s name, are Haven’s Hospice at Home, who came to the rescue at the eleventh hour, when we really needed them to help keep Dave as comfortable as possible, during the last couple days. The other charity, Compassion for Dying, is the sister charity to Dying with Dignity - the charity fighting to enable people to be able to choose their own dignified end, and not be forced to suffer as dear Dave was.
Thanks again for your love and generosity - it means a lot to me and the family and it will help others finding themselves in similar situations.
