David Richardson (19 May 1943 - 15 Apr 2026)

Dave was by far my favourite regular in The Racehorse glory days of the 00s. I will never forget how I could not seem to avoid passing him on the road every Sunday morning as I made my hungover way home from a night out in Launceston, knowing I would get stick for it a few hours later when I was waitressing the Sunday shift. Character and sense of humour aside, Dave was an incredibly kind man who will be remembered fondly and missed dearly. Sending much love to his family at this time.

Dave and his family were some of the first people to welcome us when we moved to Cornwall in 1988 and we became good friends. When times were tough for us or when we needed something he was the first person to step up to help. He had a wicked, if not dry, sense of humour and was a very special man who we will miss terribly. Although he had many health problems in the last few years he never seemed to lose his sense of humour.

Goodbye, dear old neighbour. So generous with his time, such fun in an argument, such green fingers, so clever and so loved.

Dear Sally, we are thinking of you and all your lovely family at this very sad time.
We loved Dave, he was a great friend to all our family. He will always be remembered with great affection. His runner beans and pickled onions were legendary too. Much love xxxx

Rest well Dave, you were a truly good friend and will be sadly missed. The ‘discussions’ in The Archer will not be the same without you.
