We are deeply saddened by the passing of Donna, our previous Deputy Director of Midwifery.
Donna was a true tour de force. She brought clarity, determination and warmth to everything she did, and her impact on maternity services across York and Scarborough was profound. She took on complex challenges with energy and resolve, and through her leadership helped build strong, sustainable systems that will endure well beyond her time with us.
Above all, she was a deeply committed professional who cared passionately about maternity services and the people within them.
She will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of working alongside her.
My sincere condolences go to Donna’s family, friends and loved ones at this very difficult time.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
