Michael Wood (18 Sep 1950 - 8 Apr 2026)

In loving memory of Michael Wood who sadly passed away on 8th April 2026, aged 75 years.

Michael was born & raised in Hucknall & attended Butler’s Hill Infant & Junior School before moving on to Henry Mellish Grammar School in Bulwell. On leaving school Michael secured an engineering apprenticeship & spent most of his employment at Beechdale Engineering. He then moved on to the work he loved best … as a self employed gardener & in home maintenance for the numerous customers he regarded as his friends & family.

Michael will be remembered for his love of the many he owned dogs over the years & of the plants & flowers he grew & nurtured each year.

A friend & helper to people of Hucknall & the surrounding area, he was always there to fix a dripping tap, mend a fence, cut a hedge or mow a lawn & his dedication to those for whom he was just a phone call away was greatly appreciated by so many.

Michael was an honest, kind, caring individual- a truly good man who will be sadly missed by the many friends he made over the years.
