I have fond memories of Teresa as my first Sunday School teacher at ScarTop Chapel, also the annual slide show she did, where my mum helped her with the pie and pea suppers.
She made delicious jam with dad’s gooseberries and strawberries too!
We then moved away from the area, but I found Christian faith and look forward to meeting you again in heaven Teresa!
Sending love to all the family.
Best wishes

In loving memory of Teresa Baines who sadly passed away on 7th April 2026
Teresa was a devoted mother, grandmother and great‑grandmother, whose Christian faith guided her throughout her life and sustained her through both joy and hardship. She found her greatest happiness in her home, her garden, and in caring for others — people and animals alike.
A quiet pillar of her community, Teresa gave her time and energy selflessly, always putting the needs of others before her own. Creative, hardworking and deeply kind, she lived a simple life rooted in love, faith and compassion.
Known for her generosity, gentle spirit, warm smile and infectious laugh, Teresa will be remembered with great affection by all who knew her and whose lives she touched.
All family and friends are warmly invited to attend the funeral of Teresa. Please confirm your attendance so we have an idea of numbers.
As parking at the chapel is limited, we kindly ask that, where possible, people consider car sharing.
Guests may be dropped off at the chapel, with all parking to be at the large car park at Ponden Mill.
We kindly ask that both ends of the reservoir banking is kept clear of parked cars and that congestion around the chapel is kept to a minimum, to allow the safe and steady flow of traffic for everyone attending. We hope to arrange a small number of return trips between Ponden Mill and the chapel to assist those who may need help with the walk up the hill.
Thank you very much for your understanding and consideration all our love Heather, Allyson and Joanne.
