In loving memory of John Askew who sadly passed away on 30th March 2026.
John is a much loved husband, dad and grandad. He was a larger than life character who made many friends through his working life at BT and the PCO and his many athletic roles, including coaching, judging and working with Seiko.
He was unfortunately diagnosed with interstitial lung disease just over three years ago and fought bravely to spend as much time with his loved ones and still carry on enjoying the things he loved. In lieu of flowers, the family are asking if you are able to kindly donate to The Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust, who provided care and assistance for John in the final months of his life.
We are all heartbroken and will all miss him enormously.

John - mate I cannot believe I will never see or work with you again. I knew it was coming but .... You said you would see me at the Diamond League. Normally the first thing I do is look for you on the infield, its going to be so hard not seeing you.
You are and will always be a legend
