In loving memory of Ronald James Fulton who sadly passed away on 12th March 2026

Ron leaves behind a loving family - his children Brian, Tyrone, Cormac, Lesley and Charlotte as well as 8 grandchildren.

Born in Northern Ireland, Ron studied mechanical engineering at Queens University. He worked as an engineer on many projects around the world and always had an amusing tale to tell about his travels.

In addition to work, and family commitments, Ron worked within the community. He was a foster carer and advised the local National Health trust. More recently he volunteered at Bolton Steam Museum.

However, Ron was always happiest at home surrounded by family. He also loved his garden, especially roses. Over the years, he researched his family tree extensively , and enjoyed reading about history. His passion for engines and classic cars lasted well into his retirement. Angela the Ford Anglia will definitely miss his attention.

The greatest love of his life was his wife Isobel, who sadly passed away in 2021. As a family, our main comfort is that Isobel and Ron are finally reunited.

I was so sad to have heard that Ron had died.
I have so many happy memories of both Ron and Isobel and indeed their family - especially over the “Danny years”.
At the forefront of my memories - as well as the very strong bond and love between Ron and Isobel - is the wonderful pride of his family and grandchildren. Also Ron’s sound wisdom. I have to mention his ready smile and humour. Ron and Isobel were both very good friends to me and to my family.
Latterly I so enjoyed popping in to see them, and subsequently Ron, when I was in Lancashire.
Sincerely remembered with love. Jane.
