Marianne Frances Dyer
Kevin, Alex and Clare are sad to announce that our gorgeous Marianne passed away suddenly on 2nd March 2026, aged 59.
Loved by everyone she met, Marianne’s smile, warmth and zest for life lit up every room. As a clinician, Marianne touched so many lives and made enormous contributions to worker safety in several heavy industries. She was a friend to all and adored by all.
Marianne bore her long illness with incredible fortitude and a light heart, never letting it define her and making every moment count of the bonus years her brilliant surgical, medical and care teams gave her: we are eternally grateful to them all.
Marianne will leave our house on her last great adventure at 10.00 on Tuesday 31st March. Following a private family cremation, Marianne’s funeral service will be held at All Saints’ Church, West Lavington, at 13.00 on Tuesday 31st March 2026, with her wake afterwards at The Churchill Arms, High Street, West Lavington.
Everyone is welcome to join our celebration of Marianne’s amazing life. We kindly ask that you inform the family of your attendance at least two days prior.
Marianne wished everyone to dress joyfully: no black please. Prior to attending, Marianne’s asked for you to share with the family your funniest or fondest memory of her, if possible with a photograph from an event or time where you were enjoying an experience: Marianne was all about living life to the fullest.
Family flowers only, please.
Two charities that Marianne cared deeply for were Thymic UK (https://www.thymicuk.org) and the Mission to Seafarers (https://www.missiontoseafarers.org). Both organisations are very specialised and relatively small, carrying out amazing work for overlooked groups. If you are able to make even a small donation in Marianne’s name to either or both of these precious charities that would be incredibly generous and very welcome.
For further information or to pass on personal messages please contact Kevin by email (kpdyer85@icloud.com).

Marianne’s creativity shone through in many ways – from designing and sewing her wedding dress to crafting custom silver jewellery, all filled with her characteristic care and love. We proudly wear the earrings and necklaces she made for us. 🥰

Mike took this photo in Staining, when Marianne was visiting my Mum & Dad. I've been trying to work out how old she was - maybe late teens? Beautiful, inside and out.
