In loving memory of Peter King who sadly passed away on 15th February 2026.
Peter was a one of a kind, a larger than life character whose presence could brighten any room. He had a natural gift for talking to people and could strike up a conversation with anyone he met. He loved sharing a joke, and his cheeky sense of humour always left people smiling and laughing.
He spent most of his life as a lorry driver, a job he took pride in and dedicated himself to completely. That dedication showed in everything he did. Whether he was tinkering with his car or working tirelessly on the narrowboat he bought, he put all his care, effort, and determination into every project.
He was a deeply caring person who loved his family and his dogs with all his heart. He had so much energy and life, always wanting to be up and doing something, always finding a way to keep busy and make the most of his days.
He brought joy, laughter, and warmth to the people around him, and he will be missed more than words can ever express. His spirit, his humour, and the memories he leaves behind will stay with us always.

The world certainly is a much quieter place without Peter King in it. Thank you for always checking in on me, especially on the anniversaries . You had a good heart Pete. Peter was a great man. Whether it was taking care of his family, doting on his dogs or working on a beloved restoration project, he never did things by halves and his passion, enthusiasm and joy has left a large, empty space.
Wisdom Hospice were incredible in their care and support in Peter’s final days, ensuring that he was as comfortable as could be.
