I have very fond memories of going to visit with my Nan and Grandad - Uncle Paddy and Aunty Shirley along side my cousins Debbie and Mandy who had Ponies. I went to my first greyhound race at Slough which I remember cheering on the greyhound that Paddy was cheering on - very exciting .

In loving memory of Paddy Sullivan who sadly passed away on 3rd January 2026, aged 92.
Paddy was born in the beautiful Schull, County Cork, Ireland. He was the third child of Mary Golden and Michael Sullivan. His siblings were Jimmy, Michael (Mick), and Mary.
Paddy moved to England, completed his national service and cousins May & Frank helped him start his career as an electrician. He worked as electrician on the 'Thunderbird' set owned by Jerry and Sylvia Anderson. He also did electrical work at Windsor Castle.
He met his wife Shirley Francis on a blind date. They married in 1964 and had 61 wonderful years together. They had two daughters Debbie & Mandy and a grandson Liam.
Paddy achieved second Dan, black belt in Judo, narrowly missing out on the Tokyo Olympics 1964 when he broke his ankle.
He went on to coach many students at Montem Judo centre in Slough and Slough college.
Paddy, Shirley and Mandy moved down to the New Forest a few years ago and Paddy loved being by the sea, and enjoying the sun. He never lost his sense of humour. Loved reading books and watching programmes on history, science and the universe.
Please do share any stories or photos about Paddy. We would love to see them.
