Mary Flaxbeard (Passed away 20 Jan 2026)

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Flaxbeard shares the news of her passing on the 20th of January, at the age of 85. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Among her many talents, Mary was a wonderful cook, and highly skilled with knitting needles, crochet hooks, and needle and thread. Her last employment was developing typing skills for visually impaired and deaf children. She loved to cruise and enjoyed travelling with her husband all over the world.  

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years, Richard, and their five children, Rachel, Jason, Christian, Damon and Helen.  She was a loving Nana to 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  She will also be greatly missed by her sister, Evelyn.

A catholic requiem mass will be held at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Devizes, Wiltshire on Thursday, the 5th of February at 12pm. Family flowers only please.
