Sending you all a big hug and so much love right now. I'm so grateful I had the opportunity to meet aunty Pat and so many other family members that Christmas many years ago...although still feels like yesterday 🥰

Yesterday was a real rollercoaster with ups and downs, laughs and tears. Grandad, you did Nana so proud. While this footage may seem “inappropriate” to some, this is exactly what Nana would have wanted: family together, remembering her and having fun. Even with the strange things like the magic of lock and screws mysteriously unscrewing, and the lanterns scraping against the bungalow, we did it HER way, in a way she would be so proud of. But we couldn’t have finished the night any better than with a lantern hitting the tree that Nana spent two years complaining about. It was being tugged up and down, even drifting into his garden. The neighbour was always so respectful, knowing she couldn’t help it. As it finally rose up into the sky from his garden, he just said it looked nice. That was the theme of the whole evening: respectful and nice. Thank you, Grandad, for being so brave and making sure everything was done Nana’s way. Love you, Nana.

Well Nana, I hope we did you proud yesterday. Can't believe you tried to lock us out the bungalow, unscrewing the screws in the lock from the inside when we were all at the coopers having a drink in your memory. Even last night we knew you were with us, when we released the memory lanterns. You always moaned about next doors trees and you tried to burn it down 😂😂 typical nana. Sleep tight and party with Auntie Marilyn and Auntie Pam. Love you 💚💚💚
