In loving memory of our Daniel, beloved son, brother, nephew and friend to many.

Daniel's gentle and steady nature touched many people who crossed paths into his life. Never one to complain, he consistently rose above circumstance with a quiet dignity which was, without fail, a constant lesson and humbling inspiration to us all.

Daniel's expansive mind and intellect garnered a BSc in Biology and an MA in Biotechnology; the permanent hurdles of disability and intermittent health forced a PhD a little out of reach. We as his family are terribly proud of his achievements.

His incisive and perceptive wit however were another matter if you were at the receiving end, and, as the saying goes, he was most definitely a legend in his own lunchtime, which was usually around midnight (Daniel joke).

Please feel welcome to share memories, thoughts and stories in the comments below, we would like to turn these moments into a book.

SERVICE

Join us to celebrate Daniel's life at Test Valley Crematorium at 1pm on Tuesday 13th January, followed by a gathering at Paultons Golf Centre, SO51 6AN from 3.15pm. Indicating below if you are attending would be helpful. See Photo Gallery above, for Travel & Accommodation.

The family will be wearing blue (Daniel's favourite colour), please feel free to follow suit if you wish (smart/casual). You will be welcome as you are!

Family flowers only, however we are encouraging donations to SMA UK (Spinal Muscular Atrophy UK), to further support and research Daniel's condition. See side details to donate.

We love you Daniel.

It was a pleasure to work with Dan during his first year at Uni. I always admired Dan's resilience and won't forget Dan's great sense of humour, as well as our long chats about films and video games.

All my love to such a wonderful soul and honoured to have known him. Here’s to hoping future diagnoses allow as much of a fulfilling life as Daniel had.

Every so often I would remember just how far Daniel made it in life despite having such an intense life.

It was and still is very motivating to me.

I won’t forget playing Lego Marvel with him on the PS3 when I was younger.
