Thank you to everyone who attended Madeline's funeral and your generous donations to Manorlands Hospice, Oxenhope. On the day, £409 was raised. Mum would have been so pleased, she was a great believer in giving back. Manorlands Hospice is especially significant for our family as our grandmother, our late aunt and now our dear mum have all passed there. May the Sue Ryder foundation's much needed wonderful work long continue.

Mary was an extraordinary woman whose strength and spirit left a lasting impression on me. Each time I met her, I was inspired by her determination and stoicism. She embraced life with remarkable zest—just last year, when I believed she was housebound, she surprised me by venturing out to the theatre on her own. It was a real privilege to be part of her care.
