In loving memory of Lawrence McGuiness who sadly passed away on 17th October 2025

Jamie Dawson wrote

Such great memories of Larry. I remember his contagious laughter; his high-pitch shouting at Pete, to get up in the morning; his geordie accent (so uncommon around Atherstone). He always made me feel welcome, especially when I’d bring round a few bottles of Broon. Rest well, Larry.

I first met Larry on the 25th March 1965 two days before my wedding to his youngest sister, Kath’s parents were unable to attend so Larry was dispatched to check me out , after a few beers 🍺 at the local thankfully I was excepted into the McGuiness clan. Over the years we’ve made some great memories together wild parties and holidays, one such holiday in Bulgaria we both climbed to the top of a Russian four masted ship ( we were a lot younger then) we have hade the privilege of seeing each of our family grow from small babies to young adults and getting married to having families of their own. Rest in peace mate and god bless you.
