Alwyn died peacefully on Wednesday 1st October at Airedale Hospital, following a short & final illness. His passing occurred just 3 months short of the 100th birthday, that Alwyn was so much looking forward to celebrating. Alwyn was a dearly loved husband of the late Mary; dad to John and Margaret, grandad to Martin, Richard, Oliver and Hannah & great grandad of Sally, Emma, Annabelle, Charlotte, Benjamin, Evelyn, Imogen & James. Additionally, over Alwyn's long life he had many other supportive extended family members & friends - including, neighbours & members of the Airedale Farming Community and Keighley & District Men's Forum.

Alwyn was an exceptionally kind and courteous gentleman. He videoed our wedding and he helped me present talks to local groups about our donkey sanctuary. May he rest in peace. A truly lovely man.
