Nompumelelo Lex Keva was born on 23rd March 1945 in Hukuwa, Queenstown South Africa. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Birmingham, United Kingdom, where she dedicated her career to caring for others until her retirement.
In 1975, she underwent her first open-heart surgery in Cape Town, performed by world-renowned surgeon Dr Christiaan Barnard. Despite health challenges later in life, including a stroke in 2022, she remained resilient. In 2025, at the age of 80, she bravely faced her second open-heart surgery on the 28th of August.Sadly passed on 12th September 2025.
