To our beautiful, strong, kind Nan Sheila, you were the thread in our family quilt, the light that guided us all home. You faced many challenges and you fought many battles, but you did so with grace and resilience. You showed us what a strong, loving woman looks like. Our world will never be the same without your light, but we know you’ll still be there to guide us. I pray that you are now resting your wings with your Parents, Siblings and Sons, that they are now looking after you after such a long journey, and that finally, you can rest, out of pain, and out of worry. Not a day will go by where you are not missed by many, we are rich by the fact that we got to love you for the whole of our lives. I cannot tell you how much I wish I could play even just one more game of frustration with you, make you one more cup of tea, or watch you fall asleep on the sofa again. You will never be forgotten. We love you Nan Sheila, rest easy our Angel ❤️ x x

I just want to say a big thank you.
You were more of a mum to me than my own, and you’ll never know how much that truly meant. It was an honour to spend time with you during those difficult days — making memories, even the silly ones, like when you’d be asleep with your teeth hanging out. Those moments still make me smile.

Our lives have changed forever now that you’re no longer here, but I know you’re still with us in spirit every single day. The road ahead feels hard, yet there’s comfort in knowing you’re finally at peace and free from pain.

For 30 years, you were such a big part of my life — more than my own family — and it’s been a privilege to know you. You taught me what love, patience, and strength truly mean, and I’ll carry those lessons for the rest of my life.

No words will ever be enough, but please know you are loved deeply, missed beyond measure, and will forever hold a place in my heart.
