Very fond memories of camping holidays with “The Rayners” in France in the 70s. Jim and Chris were lifelong friends of our parents, who they went on to share many holidays - swapping camping for cruising in later life!

I remember Chris was a great letter writer and Mum always enjoyed catching up on all the news from Bexley, and of course the first Christmas Card to arrive was always from Chris.

Angie and Ruth, you are very much in our thoughts at this sad time.

We were so sad to hear that Chris has passed away. For well over 40 years, her's was the first Christmas card we received, popped in with a Wedding anniversary card, at the end of November. I don't think she missed a year until very recently when she became unwell. Sorry that we will be unable to attend her funeral.

Dear Angie and Ruth,
I have the warmest and gentlest of memories of your mother, Chris. Her wonderful smile and the interest and delight she took in Haris and Leena.
Love and condolences to you both, to the wider family and especially to Chris’s beloved grandchildren.

Chris/Aunty Chris was a very special next door neighbour as were were growing up from 1967. Without Chris, our Mum wouldn't have survived the move from Birmingham -they became great friends whether on the tennis court, a trip to Sainsbury's or just a catch up over a cup of tea.......We would often hear, "Cooee it's only me" as Chris came through the back door.
Chris will always hold a very special place in our hearts - we'd like to think they are having a much longed for catch up now.
We will be thinking of you all, especially on Thursday 23rd.
Sending all our Love
