You were the grumpy smiley pain in the ass we all needed.
The man who could moan about everything and still make us laugh doing it.
You loved your cuppa—strong, no nonsense, just like you.
And behind all the grumbles was someone who’d do anything for anyone, no questions asked.

You gave your time, your heart, and your stubborn charm to everyone lucky enough to know you.
We’ll miss the banter, the eye-rolls, and the way you somehow made kindness look like a chore—but we knew better.

Raise a mug up there, Mick. You’ve earned your rest.

Well Mick, I can’t believe this day has come.
As a kid you got through so many scrapes, from falling off a high wall to having a stick forced down your throat; I thought you were invincible!
You were always Flossie’s favourite; she would take you off to town to spoil you. I hope she’s there to spoil you again.
I was proud and a little jealous of the ease with which you took up sailing and then went on to become an expert at windsurfing; God you looked great, a natural!
I have it from a reliable source that they were times when the rogue in you, as in all of us, would show; sneaking ciggies n cider from Holly Bush Offy.
I hope you’re sailing once more Mick.
Till we meet again brother, I will never forget you and you will be hearing from me!

Wow what can I say? You was my first real love until you wasn't, But we did have something special once, you adopted Stacey-Leigh as your own and we created Jack together and I got to know your family and was always welcome at your mom's, I still am. You meant so much to me a long time ago but I never stopped caring about you, you wasn't always around for our kids when they were younger but when you were you was all in. And they loved you to bits. I'm glad you were able to meet Violet, she will hear about you often so she can get to know her Grandad Olner. Rest in peace Mick, G. B. N. F.

Mick from the first day of meeting u at arthur Jones motors u became a good friend we had some good times in recovery i think every job began with a fag and a coffee your suffering is over mate god bless will miss u such a good friend
