In loving memory of Peter William Turner who sadly passed away on 19th August 2025 after a short but fierce battle with pancreatic cancer.
Pete put up a good fight and was determined to the last. But cancer was pre-determined to win.
We consider ourselves truly blessed to have had him as a husband, son, dad, grandad; he really was the absolute best. He was the core of the family. We are totally devastated and clinging tightly onto the many happy memories that we shared together. Family was the most important thing to Pete. He was extremely protective and even in the last moments shaded the family from as much of what he was going through as he could. He was so so strong.
As a family we are extremely grateful to the wonderful staff at Farleigh Hospice. They treated dad with such dignity, love and care. And allowed us to spend the last days and moments with Pete, together as a family.
Pete will never be forgotten. Will be forever loved, forever missed
Sleep tight
No more pain. No more suffering

The funeral service takes place at Chelmsford Crematorium on Friday 12th September, 11am. We request that only flowers from close family and in remembrance of Pete that donations are made to Farleigh Hospice or Pancreatic Cancer charities should you be able to do so.
If you would like to join us after the service we will then move onto The Crown in Sandon.
This will be a celebration of Pete and so we have decided that black dress is not compulsory.
