It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Lock on the afternoon of Sunday, 10th August, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Mark was a devoted husband, a proud father, a true family man whose warmth, humour, and kindness touched all who knew him. Born and raised in Devizes, he spent his younger years enjoying the local pubs and later worked the drays for Wadsworth’s, building lifelong friendships along the way.

Mark will be deeply missed by his loving family. We invite all who knew him to join us in celebrating his life at Semington Crematorium on Thursday, 28th August at 11:00 am, followed by a wake at The Wyvern Club, Devizes from 1pm.

Donations in Mark’s memory are kindly welcomed for Dorothy House Hospice, whose incredible care supported Mark and Caroline and where Mark spent his final days.

I know we didn't see each other often, but I have a lot of fond memories of family get togethers, parties and mad games of cricket on the green outside Nan Lock’s house. It's so devastating to lose a family member, and I'm sending you and your family all our love. XxX

So very sorry to read this.
I have very fond memories of you Mark and the fun we had as kids when we visited Devizes or you came down to visit Gran Price in Cornwall. Fly high Mark, it will be some party when you are reunited with all the family in Heaven.
Sending love to you all from the family in Cornwall xx

Dear Mark, now you are free of the pain and discomfort that you have suffered over the last months. I know we didn't see each other much at all after we became adults, but I often thought of you all in Devizes. Rest in peace sweetheart, all my love Diana (cousin) xx
