Anybody that was lucky to know Rick will know the size of his heart. His kindness was unmatched and with a larger than life personality to go alongside it.
Rick was the most wonderful husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle and incredible friend to many. He always wanted to better the lives of those around him and he'd do anything for anybody.
The family have been completely overwhelmed with amazing stories about Rick since his sudden passing, with the common theme stemming around generosity and supportiveness.
No one lives life quite like Rick did - his love for it was undeniable. Whether it was music, rugby matches, trips away, rounds of golf or hosting one of his infamous BBQ's, he was always living his life to the fullest.
Rick was MD of Renelec Groundworks and then Renelec Contracting. He was a larger than life character in the industry and the outpour of messages show he left a mark on everyone he met in this aspect of his life too.
There will be a Rick shaped void in our lives that will never be filled. We will miss him every single day.
The service to celebrate Rick's incredible life is to be held at West Wiltshire Crematorium, Semington on Friday 22nd August at 1pm, followed by a celebration at the Peppermill in Devizes. All are welcome. Our Ricky liked to dress smart, please do the same for this occasion.
Any donations made will go to Careif - a charity that Rick was a patron of for many years.

The service at the crematorium was a beautiful tribute to the legend that Rick was. The memories shared by Webby and John Skeen captured his vibrant personality so vividly and humorously, that it brought smiles and giggles through the tears. You and the girls tributes were both heartfelt and fitting, and the photos were brilliant.
You should feel proud for giving him such a wonderful farewell. Rick will always be remembered with a smile, and more than often with a laugh out loud.

Hi Mandy my sincere condolences to you and all the family. I’m still in ICU in SSMC Abu Dhabi and not sure yet when will I be discharged. I will be in touched once I’ll be in UK. I will be thinking of you on the day of the funeral and I’m sure you’ll give the best send off ever.

In Loving Memory of my darling brother Rick who left us far too soon. Though his time here was short, the light he brought into our lives will shine forever.
Rick was more than a brother — he was a best friend, a protector, a confidant, and the soul of every room he walked into. He had a laugh that could lift your spirit on the darkest days, a heart that gave endlessly, and a spirit that was both kind and fierce.
He lived with passion and sincerity, always putting other people first. Whether he was offering quiet support in tough times or cracking a joke to make us smile, Rick had a unique way of making everyone feel seen and valued.
His love for music, sports - especially the sweet game of rugby - and travel, brought joy not just to him, but to all of us lucky enough to witness it. He taught us how to live more fully, love more openly, and appreciate each moment.
Our lives will never be the same without him, but we find comfort in knowing that his love, laughter, and memory will remain with us always.
We will carry you in our hearts forever, Rick
Rest peacefully, dear brother — you are deeply loved and missed beyond words.
