Malcolm Sunderland (29 Jun 1936 - 9 Jun 2025)

Our group of one-time Friday night drinkers (of a certain age) had the pleasure of meeting Malcolm and his brother Des at the Brown Cow, Keighley. Malcolm entertained us with tales from his army days (tanks in Germany) and his days as a teacher at Leeds Grammar. We also got to meet his delightful wife Ann on numerous occasions (not at the pub!) and her sudden passing left Malcolm bereft. He was a real gentleman, a superb gardener and always well dressed. RIP Malcolm.

My sister Cheryl and I had many, many happy years helping Mr Sunderland with all the animals at the school, during school time, evenings and weekends, plus helping him with his Jacob sheep. It definitely kept us put of mischief! It instilled a great love and respect for animals.
