In loving memory of Susan Jennifer Nerney who sadly passed away on 15th June 2025
Sue was a beautiful lady who was loving, generous and had a heart of gold.
Born in 1949 in Birmingham with Parents Joyce & Tom. She was the oldest of 4 children with 2 sisters Karen & Linda & younger brother Lewie.
After leaving school she went to work at the Royal Mail and met Jim Godden & had daughter Andrea. Later she then met John Nerney and had a baby boy John.
Family was everything to Sue, she cherished time spent with her children & grandchildren. She enjoyed baking, gardening, playing board & card games & always had a story to tell.
She was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at the young age of 42, but she was a courageous lady & went onto doing a computer course & getting a degree in maths & writing. She loved writing poems & short stories. She never let it stop her. She also ran the Parkinson’s group in Tamworth & was always raising money to try & find a cure.
Her quick wit & kind heart left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.

Oh Sue what a total shock! I was planning to come to you this year as i'm now retiring-what an awful shame. I know that you are at peace now my big sis & that we WILL meet again. All ages are equidistant from eternity. Thanks for being so kind & generous, & for being such a laugh, we shared the same sense of humour didn't we. I will always cherish the times we spent over the last 60 years. You are going to be missed terribly, but i won't say ''au revoir''- just ''bonjour''!!

My Dear sister Sue
It's tragic I missed you by just a couple of weeks. I hope you have met up with our sister Linda and Big John aka Spuderman. We had many happy memories from childhood going to Burnham on Sea and Teinmouth. All the games we played together. You even helped me get the job at the PO which I will be forever grateful for as that is where I met my husband Peter. God Bless you. You will be sadly missed always and forever. Your sister Karen xxx ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

To Auntie Sue, I can always remember the first time I met you, I thought you were so glam from your pretty face to your red painted nails 💅
You were always so much fun to be around & we shared as families happy times. The love between you & uncle John was there for us all to see. You suffered for too many years but you always had a smile on your face.
Nan night, give uncle John a kiss when you see him. Go shine
like the star you are 🌟 💖
Love always Karen xxxxxxxx

Sue I will always remember our shopping trips together. The one that made us laugh for ages was when we went to Trentham & you bought so much bedding, the assistants had to help us get it all in the car. I will treasure memories of you & love you always ❤️ xxxxxxxx
