Brian Leslie Hodgetts (6 Apr 1946 - 10 May 2025)

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Brian Leslie Hodgetts,  age 79,  of Stourbridge, who peacefully passed away after a long battle with cancer on 10th May 2025. He was born in Lye, Stourbridge on 06/04/1946 to Leslie and Sylvia Hodgetts. The youngest of four with Sister ,Jean, and Brothers ,Tony and Chris.

Brian was a devoted and loving husband of 57 years to Lydia Hodgetts and a loving father to 3 children. Alison, Ella and Steven.

Brian was kind, caring and very much respected by his whole family, always the calming voice in any situation.

He worked as a site manager in the building trade for many years working on many local projects with Guests, Hall and Tawse , Mansells and Balfour Beaty. Happily retiring in 2009. He enjoyed his life spending time with his family and friends, travelling, walking, supporting his favourite football teams, the baggies and the glassboys, and enjoying a few beers in local pubs.

Brian is survived by his wife Lydia; his children, Alison, Ella, and Steven, his grandchildren,  Andrew,  Dan, Sam, Joe, Erin and William and great granddaughter Scarlett.

A memorial service will be held at Stourbridge Crematorium on 11th June 2025 at 12.20.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Compton Hospice, Wolverhampton where Brian was cared for in his final hours and Cancer Research UK.
