In loving memory of Adrian Edward (Ted) Bridgwater who sadly passed away on 21st April 2025. Loving father to Tim and Debi, father-in-law to Dave (and Pete), Grandad to James (and Justine), Katie, Marcus (and Julia) and Josh (and Yijiao). Great grandfather to Corey, Bella, Ruby, Ava, Luna and Rosalee. Friend to all!

His beloved partner, Marina, died in 2019 and Adrian's family would like to pay tribute to their extended family: Marcia, Audrey, Donna, Tony and Paul (and families) and to thank them for the love and support shown over the years and through Dad's illness.

Dad attended King Edwards VI Grammar School, Stourbridge, and served in MI8 Intelligence Corps in Cypress, and as a police officer in the 1960s playing Rugby for all of them and for Stourbridge. He lifted weights all of his life, and in his forties took up marathon running and soon became the 37th fastest man in the country in his age group. He was also a long time supporter of Wolves and a supporter of Lye Town Football Club for eight decades. For this reason, the funeral will be leaving Lye Town FC at 11:45 am on Wednesday 7th May, 2025 for a service at Stourbridge Crematorium at 12:20pm, returning to Lye Town FC at 1:30pm. Family flowers only. Donations are going to Lye Town FC. Please donate via the link on the homepage or to the donation box at the service. Dad would love that!

The family would like to thank Lye Town FC for their kindness shown in recent years and his friends at No. 92 Mary Stevens Coffee Lounge - Dad's first stop every morning after his workout in the park (still taking place until the end of February this year!)

A webcast will be available for those who are unable to attend. Please message Debi on 07941 950982 for details. Please wear anything you would like to the service... colourful clothes also very welcome!

Adrian, I am so very sad to be sending this message &, that I am not at your funeral to say goodbye. You had such a beautiful spirit and heart and, it’s hard referring to you in the past! . To me, you are one of the most honest, happy and good hearted person I have had the pleasure of knowing, over the meany years you have been a part of my family. Always so happy never letting anything get you down and when I felt down just a simple chat with you uplifted my spirits and made us laugh so much. We have shared some great conversations & your passing has left a hole in my heart which I know will not heal quickly. Adrian, I thank you for loving my mother, I know she adored you. I hope you find her again soon and finally rest in loving peace. I have no doubt I will see you again but until then, I will keep you in my heart. God Bless You .. RIP my beautiful my friend.
