In loving memory of Denise Bird who sadly passed away on 7th April 2025
To reach the age of 97 was quite an achievement - Denise's life was very focused on both her family and her love for music. From an early age realising she could play the piano without reading music and playing by ear, gave her the stepping stone to give others the chance to enjoy music for whatever the occasion.
Married to Tom for 63 years, they together, lived a happy life, Tom being her "roadie" during the weekends when Denise mostly had music engagements, enjoying regular holidays to Cyprus and Menorca and finally during their latter years, enjoying the surrounds of Suffolk at their home in Woolpit with music never far away with Denise playing the electric piano in the lounge with Tom as the audience or both listening to their favourite jazz CD's.
Although Denise missed Tom when he passed away - she had many great memories and would chat about them to family, grandchildren and friends. Denise was very proud of her daughters, Loretta and Madeleine and her grandchildren Oliver and Grace and spoke often of happy times with them.
Denise has left some great memories with her music during her life and will be remembered fondly by many.
