Lizz Shaw passed away peacefully at her home in Stowmarket on April 13th 2025, aged 78 years.
A wonderful wife to John. mother to Jaqui and Lucy and spoiling Grandma to Jess, William, Gianna and Joseph. She will be remembered by all who knew her whether as Stowmarket Town Mayor, Head schoolteacher, charity volunteer or a friend.
A celebration of Lizz's life will take place at West Suffolk Crematorium (St Edmunds Chapel) on Thursday 8th May 2025 at 11.00am.
Lizz requested people to wear bright colours and no mourning.

I only knew Liz for a few years but in the time I did, her warmth and kindness truly touched my heart. Our cosy chats and the quiet wisdom she shared meant so much to me. She’ll always hold a special place in my memories. I’ll miss her deeply and love her always.
