In loving memory of Michael Curtis who sadly passed away on 3rd April 2025 aged 87 years.
Mick as he was known to family and friends was born 13th November 1937 in Ipswich and later his parents moved to Hadleigh,
He loved sport and whilst he attended copleston high school he was into many sports including running how ever it was slightly different at Hadleigh high school, He became an apprentice carpenter when he left school and went on to be a great craftsman he made some superb furniture including a fully fitted kitchen he built from scratch, Mick was in the grenadier guards in his younger days and later in life was invited to the Queens garden party on three occasions, He was married to Sheila the love of his life they had two daughters, When Sheila turned 41 yrs old she became poorly and later was diagnosed with multiple schlorosis, mick cared for her wonderfully up until she passed in 2012,
He played football for many years and played in goal for fonereau fc he won many many trophies he retired in his forties and took up refereeing for a while, He was a good darts player and again won a few trophies, In his later life he played bowls and enjoyed many years at trimley bowls club, mick loved gardening and definitely had green fingers his garden was a spectacle of blooms absolutely beautiful, He was a very kind man who worked hard but nothing was too much trouble for him he helped many people and acquired the name st mick which he was tickled pink about He was a wonderful husband and great dad he had six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandson, a great man with a bigger heart godbless Dad we love you and miss you fly high ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💔
