I remember Ann from Seale Hayne Agricultural College days in the mid-1960s. She was a friendly and lively person there. Soon after we all left the College, another Seale Haynian and I visited Ann and Jon at Punchards Farm and Ann made us very welcome for a few days. Another visit followed in the early 2000s and again we were made very welcome. In June 2012 There was a centenary reunion at Seale Hayne and Ann and Jon were there. We drove up to Hay Tor on Dartmoor, and I remember watching with admiration as Ann ran up the steep incline to the base of the rock.
Ann was a very easy person to talk to and in the last few years I have enjoyed some interesting telephone conversations with her – she always had something interesting to recount about the farm or the village shop or village life in general.
Ann will be greatly missed by many people, for her liveliness and warmth and spontaneity.
John Harvey.
