In loving memory of Valerie Robinson who sadly passed away on 24th December 2015.
Mum was born 31 December 1934 in Oldbury to William and Edith Beesley, she married dad on 14 November 1953 at The Old Church Smethwick aged 18.
At the time of her marriage she was employed as a receptionist, but over the years she was along with my father a Publican, running many Pubs in Birmingham and Rugby. when they left the pub trade in Rugby, mum over the many years has since has put her hand to many jobs, from shop assistant, doctors receptionist, check out girl, cleaning, working in a butchers, cafe, doing catering, children's clothes and toy parties, selling bags of potatoes and into her 60's working packing cakes at Kipling. Plus still being a wife to Ken and our mother.
She loved the family get togethers travelling on a Sunday to Birmingham to see everyone. The Christmas and birthday parties having everyone there in the 3 bed semi she was so proud of, doing the catering and organising the sleeping arrangements for everyone. She loved a good party.
When the son's left home Mum and Dad started holidaying abroad which she always enjoyed especially with her sisters and sister-in-law.
