Kathleen Snowden (12 Jun 1947 - 3 Jan 2025)

Thank you so much to everyone who came to Kathleen's funeral and for your generous donations. We are overwhelmed by the kindness of you all, it is testament to the wonderful lady she was.

The church collection amounted to £1,215. This has been sent directly to Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

From a boy to a man I spent a lot of time at Snowden base camp Kathleen always made everybody welcome who was there. My first dinner time was told if you want get it on your plate you won’t get a second chance no truer word said . Coming in smelling of oil/petrol/diesel covered in mud never batted an eye lid wot you up to lads kettles on. Over the years lve had my fair share of bollockings and the odd deadly kick very painful on the shins when expertly landed ! But it’s the endless laughs that I will remember the most all made possible by BIG G/MARG or whatever nickname in which decade was being used . Over the last 5 weeks I’ve thought about her alot and shed quite a few tears but I’ve smiled alot more remembering the good times like barbecues at fookbourgh and I could go on but I don’t think anyone will ever meet a kinder lady a true legend !

An amazing Lady Heart as big as a dustbin ,didn’t suffer fools , but family and friends nothing was too much trouble , Kind caring always lucky to have been included in family Snowden over the years from early kid right through the years to date , will be sadly missed , When I think of Elvis I will forever think of You Gid test your soul ❤️👍🥰

Very sorry to hear of Kathleen's passing, and with it’s suddenness.
Kathleen and Sam often helped us with their animal husbandry skills, when we initially moved to Ponden, as we were complete novices.
