We are so sorry that we are unable to attend the service on Thursday, however, we will be thinking of you all.
We did not know John very well but once seen, never forgotten, such an interesting man.
We will miss our chats at the allotment.
xxx

John was an exceptionally kind person and a phenomenal Scout leader at Wilton Scouts. He created an amazing atmosphere where we as scouts could develop and grow as young people. So many treasured memories of being a Wilton scout in the 90s under John's leadership. Too many to list but they include: camping (Brecon Beacons, Dartmoor, Europe, County jamborees, under the stars), Storm the fort up at Huish Woods, building campfires, backwoods cooking, dump hike, knots, singing boom chic-a-boom, capture the flag, putting up tents blindfolded, orienteering and your great sense of humour. Thanks for everything and rest in peace John.
