For Dear Dr. Debashish Banerjee
7 April 1973-16 December 2024
We remember Debs, whose spirit departed from us suddenly on 16 December 2024 at the age of 51. Debs, a beacon of unwavering friendship and kindness, has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know them.
We first met him during the EURACT Assessment Course October 2019 in Lisbon. He was full of life, very friendly and successful. Besides being an excellent GP, he was a very talented singer, guitarist, he was interested in swimming, body building and he was able to use an airplane.
We will always remember him.

Dear Debashish uncle,

Thank you for being in my life, you are a truly inspiring person and I will continue to remember you in this way for the rest of my life. You were such a talented individual with the most magnificent voice. My fondest childhood memories of you are when you would play your guitar at parties and get everyone involved with singing, everyone always being in awe of your immense talent.

I miss you a lot but I hope that you are now resting in peace

To Ronnie and Jyoti auntie, I am sincerely sorry for your loss, please accept my deepest condolences.

Debs started teaching year 5 UEA medical students this year. He was so enthusiastic and set up a room especially for them, supporting them in seeing patients face to face and on the phone. When I visited it was such a lovely, positive learning environment. I know Debs made a great impression on the students and they learnt so much from him which they will take forward into their careers. He will certainly be remembered and missed by all of us.

Debs, your vibrancy and enthusiasm as part of the Year 3 team at Norwich Medical School will be sorely missed. However, your legacy lives on in the positive effect you have had on the training of so many of the next generation of doctors.
