Graham Morley (15 Jul 1954 - 25 Mar 2024)

My first meeting with Graham was in my University town of High Wycombe. I’d become good friends with his son Russell, and Notts County were in town to play Wycombe Wanderers. I was immediately struck by the Juventus cap he was wearing, and at the pub before the game he enlightened me of the history of Notts County and why it was down to them that Juventus played in their famous black and white stripes. I was fortunate to chat with Graham many times over a beer in the following years, even at the world-famous Rock City music venue - he was on the guestlist, no less. He was always interested to hear what others had to say and what was going on in their lives. I was very saddened to hear of his passing and wish all of his family and friends my heartfelt sympathies at this very difficult time.
