In loving memory of Michele Buehrlen who sadly passed away on 22nd March 2024.
Mum lived with PSP for over 15 years. A very debilitating illness that is little understood. Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, or PSP, is a rare neurological condition that progressively impacts balance, movement, vision, speech, and cognition. Rather than sending flowers mum would have liked if her friends and family donated to the PSP Association who work tirelessly to support those with the illness and cary out much needed research into this illness, how it occurs and how it can be controlled if not cured.
Michele's funeral will be held on Thursday 11 April at 2.30 at the West Chapel, Medway Crematorium, Bluebell Hill, ME5 9QU and afterwards back at The Lodge, Frog Lane West Malling ME19 6LN. Please join us if you can.
We thought that if people wanted to wear colour rather than black, mum would’ve liked that. Her paintings were always full of colour and as a non-conformist, I don’t think she was one for traditional black mourning dress, but of course it’s whatever you feel comfortable with.

With Michelle's passing the 'Entente Cordiale' has lost one of its most illustrious and colourful adherents. Anglo-French relations will never be quite the same again! Writing from previous experience, those of us who for better or worse, elect to become partners in marriages of mixed cultures and nationalities usually pay a high price for the pleasure. Many such ventures fall by the wayside. Michelle was a survivor and her offspring surely owe her a debt of gratitude for that! Michelle's greatest legacy are her children whose successes and reputations are a wonder to behold! Well done, Michelle!

Dad gave us the sad news. We are very sorry to hear of Michelle's passing.
Please accept our sincere condolences.
Dad will attend tomorrow on our behalf.
Michelle used to always thank me for helping build her green house. If the structure still stands I would be happy to pop over and add a quantity of her favourite bloomage so you can watch it explode into life through its broken panes.

Elegant, entertaining, a wonderful hostess, interesting and interested in so much. Latterly so strong and uncomplaining. You never lost your Frenchness and were an integral part of the Frog Lane community. You are very much missed.
