In loving memory of Joan Runacres who sadly passed away on 15th March 2024.
My mum Joan was born on 22nd July 1924, in Feltham, Middlesex. She was the youngest of 6. Times were hard in the 1920's and 30's, so she had to leave school at 14 and go to work. She had many jobs over the years, in Aircraft Factories and retail firms.
She married Ron in 1951 and I was born 2 years later. Grandchildren, Kim and Claire came along and later a great grandson Jamie. Joan enjoyed travelling abroad with Ron and then when Ron passed away in 2001, she accompanied myself and Keith on a few trips.
She was a strong woman with a great sense of humour. She had a long and happy life and will be sadly missed by all the family and people who knew her.

Joan was my Aunt, she was my mum's sister, they were very close. Joan helped to care for me and my three older brothers, so we had a close bond. She had a wonderful memory. I could always go to her if I had any questions about our family. She will be sadly missed.
