I'm so sorry that I couldn't make the funeral. I was thinking about you Ken the whole day though. You were actually a really big part of my teeneage years. Not only were you the best manager a girl's football team could ask for but you were one of the nicest, funniest, most supportive people I have ever met. Many a time you took me home in your taxi after a night out, making sure I got home ok and never taking more than a fiver. You were an exceptional human being and were even there when I needed a shoulder to cry on. I'll never forget you, Ken. Sleep well 💙💙💙

Ken. In my lifetime; I've often heard the phrase, 'I never heard anyone say a bad word about him/her.' It's a bit of a cliché I suppose and whenever I've heard it, I've thought 'hmm, that's not exactly true!'

Then we come to you. I knew you for nearly 30 years and that phrase is no longer a cliché. Hand on heart, I never heard a bad word about you; in fact, quite the opposite.

Your humour was superb and even on a freezing, wet Sunday afternoon, after only just making kick off because of traffic, you'd find something funny to say.

Yesterday, as we all gathered to say goodbye and celebrate your life and time with us, I listened to recollections; some I knew and many I didn't, and was chuckling away as it was all just so you.

The fact that there was literally standing room only says it all. You touched so many peoples' lives in such a positive way.

The Chinese nights out won't be the same without you and now someone else will have to remind me not to forget the date! We've got one next week. I would save you a satay but we both know Colin won't let that happen!

Sleep well, Ken. I'll miss you mate.

Still can't believe we will not sit and talk over a meal Ken. Our 'Anniversary Trips' were always great - you and Brian waiting patiently for Linda and I to shop, sharing laughs and hiccups, remembering you always helping the coach driver with cases but above all enjoying great friendship and company. We will always be there for you Linda. Rest in peace dear Ken. Linda xx

It takes somebody incredibly special to take on the role of the most magical man, and how lucky we were it was you. Uncle Ken it's now time for you to fly through the sky and shine brighter than you ever have. Thank you will never be enough xxx

After intensive soul searching as to what to say about Ken without writing a vast novel bigger than any previous authors, I have decided I can do no better than borrow just 3 words from the late great Tina Turner and say Ken- You Were SIMPLY THE BEST

Kenny, we are missing you so much already. We miss the laughs you gave us. We miss how in your quiet, unassuming way you showed your care and love for and loyalty to the family. You were indeed a big brother to us.
We are relying on the memories and the sense of humour that lives on in the girls to keep us going - until we meet again. Love always, Mandy & Keith xx

Hi Kenny. Loads of great memories from my childhood, I always got excited when I heard that we were going to see Uncle Kenny, and used to love the Boxing Day get together. I'll remember your gentle humour, and the running jokes that you kept going year after year. You were still telling the same jokes when I last saw you a few years ago! I'll always see that constant smile you had on your face. And the pipe. Wish I could see you one more time mate... Love Simon

Ken was such a perfect gentlemen. He was so kind and thoughtful and I know he is missed by so many people who’s live he has touched.
I remember Ken on the buses and he always made sure I was ok. We would always have a good catch up whenever I was on one of his routes.
Even being part of my wedding day and helping with transporting guests to the reception. Nothing was too much trouble for Ken x
He lives on in his family and will never be forgotten. X
