In loving memory of Doreen Patricia Macdonald who sadly passed away on 21st February 2024.
Doreen was a loving Sister, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother to 1 Brother, 3 Sons, 11 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.
Born in Holloway, Islington in 1933 to parents, Bill and Florence Smith, Doreen was evacuated during the war with her Brother Terry, to Clydach in Wales in 1941 and returned to Islington in 1946. She left school in 1948 and started working as a 'Seamstress' at Marshall & Snellgroves in Oxford Street, London.
In 1954 Doreen met and fell in love with Roy Macdonald, they got married in 1956 with Doreen wearing the wedding gown that she made herself with the help of her best friend Joyce.
Together they had 3 sons, Alan, Cliff and Kevin and 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren who she looked after and cared for with love and compassion.
Sadly, Doreen lost her husband Roy in 1999 and her eldest Son Alan in 2015.

Although not knowing Dot that particularly well she was part of the Macdonald family that I grew up with over so many years past. My respects to all concerned.
