In loving memory of John Edwin Green, who sadly passed away on 16 February 2024, aged 81 Years.
John was born in Barnoldswick, Yorkshire, on 21 June 1942 (midsummer day) to Violet and Henry Green. He attended Edward Worledge School and then Great Yarmouth Grammar School. At age 15, he left to join the Royal Air Force as an apprentice and started his life-long career with the RAF. He was often stationed overseas, including in Thailand, Malaysia, Cyprus, and the Ascension Islands. John was at the forefront of introducing computers into the RAF.
John's daughter Julie, her husband Aleks, and his grandsons, Joe and Henry, live in Austin, Texas. He was never happier than sitting out on their back patio soaking up the sun and taking in the views of the big skies.
The funeral service will be held on 25 March 2024 at 1.45 pm at Southgate & Roberts Funeral Suite, 18-20 St Matthews Street, Ipswich, IP1 3EU. For anyone unable to attend in person, the funeral will be webcast online via Zoom at https://zoom.us/join using Meeting ID: 2966041413 and Password: newsystem
