I am missing you massively already Mum. Thank you for everything and all the times you were there for me.

There is a Buddhist quote: “We choose our own parents”. The teachings of Buddhism say we choose them (before we are born) to teach us the hardest lessons. With this in mind, I am so glad I chose you.

I sincerely hope your smile and words never fade from my memory. Even the words I found most difficult to hear and accept. I know you only wanted the best for me and to be happy. While your passing pains me and is the saddest loss I've known, I can say you truly taught me so much. I can now make a mean chili con carne and cook a blinding Sunday dinner, among many other things, LOL.

I know the words I write here will not be able to convey a fraction of what it means to know you for a lifetime, so I will not try to. I just want you to know I love you Mum from the bottom of my heart xxxxx
