On 25th January 2024, peacefully in hospital, of Mirfield and formerly of Ravensthorpe and Dewsbury Moor, aged 86 years, Roy, beloved husband of Pat, dearly loved dad of Paul, Peter and Robert, a very dear and loved father-in-law, grandad and great grandad. Funeral service will take place at Dewsbury Moor Crematorium on Monday 19th February 2024 at 2pm. Relatives and friends please accept this intimation. Family flowers only, donations in lieu may be made online or placed in the collection box provided for the benefit of Alzheimer’s Society.

After the Funeral all family and friends and anyone that knew Roy is welcome at the Ravenswharfe Hotel in Dewsbury for Food and drinks.

So sorry that Roy has passed away.I first got to know Roy when I was working has a nurse at the old Staincliffe Hospital.When I was passing the old boiler house he would always say Good Morning to me.If I saw him out and about he would always have a chat.II ended up not living not far from him when he lived down Shillbank.
