Thank you so much to all those who attended Caroline's celebration of life, who joined us online, and who were there with us in spirit. It has been incredible to receive such wonderful support and Caroline would have absolutely loved the party.

If you would like to make a donation in Caroline's name, please donate towards The Caroline Robins Bursary for the Sherborne Association UK via the Donate Now button or you can send direct to Jonathan Terry.

Mum was passionate about Sherborne Developmental Movement (SDM) and became an Internationally Qualified Course Leader in 2022. The objectives of Sherborne reflect her lifelong commitment to supporting people to develop confidence in themselves and in their relationships with others.

In her own words: ‘SDM enables me to offer movement challenges…in an enjoyable and creative way, through experiences with others…promoting and developing self-confidence and esteem, and communication skills…and facilitates the making of different types of relationship through moving with others in a safe and trusting atmosphere and environment’.

Caroline developed Sherborne-based movement curriculums for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex learning difficulties, practising this in her work at Rosewood and Great Oaks schools. She was a founding member of the Southampton Special Schools Sherborne Sharing Hub, had volunteered as the Sherborne Association UK’s Secretary for the past five years, and even led a course to train new practitioners whilst in recovery from chemotherapy last year.

We wanted to set up The Caroline Robins Bursary to ensure more people can benefit from SDM. It will support other people passionate about the benefits of movement to train in SDM and gain their Internationally Qualified Course Leader (IQCL) status so that they can continue to educate others in SDM.

Keith & Hazel Wooler donated £25 in memory of Caroline

That cheerful energetic and enthusiastic girl that we knew so many years ago, clearly ended up by putting more into life than she ever took out.Such personalities are sadly a rarity these days and Caroline has set the bar high for for those who follow in her footsteps, bless her memory.
Our sincere condolences to Dave, the girls and her siblings.
Hazel & Keith Wooler with our love.

Thanks for being a fantastic PE Teacher Caroline, and for all the happy memories of our friendship which continued after Delarue. You definitely passed on your passion for fitness and exercise to me, and I'll make sure I swim a few extra lengths in your honour next time I'm in the pool. I still can't believe you've gone, and miss your comments on my cycling posts on Facebook. I'm so sad that we didn't manage to arrange that get-together we kept promising each other. X
