After 91 love-filled years of life, Shirley Ann Tavener passed away peacefully in her sleep at Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford on the 4th of December, 2023. Since the family's last visit in October, her health had begun to decline, though none could have foreseen her passing so suddenly.
Her children, Madeleine Longfield-Smith and Ian Tavener, and their families are grateful to be gathered in Gravesend to honor her memory. Family and friends are invited to join them at Thames View Crematorium on Wednesday 20th December at 9:00 am.
Immediately following the service, the wake will be held at The Coach House, East Court Farm - Church Lane, Gravesend, Kent, DA12 2NL.
In due course, Shirley’s ashes will be interred at St Georges Church, Gravesend, alongside those of her beloved husband of 63 years, Leslie.
Family flowers only, please.
