So sorry you have gone so soon. It was quite a shock! Losing a cousin is never easy as it brings home how mortal we are and when it is our own generation, it hits hard. You will definitely be missed Gerald with your kind and gentle nature. I remember so many holidays with you and your Mum and Dad in Portsmouth with Marian. Good times and happy memories. Sad for Jane to lose you so soon.
I am sure the funeral will go well.
Shirley (and Dave) Chard

Such a gentle, thoughtful soul and much loved cousin. It didn’t matter how many years were in between get togethers it was always as if we’d met yesterday. So very sorry you left this world so quickly and all too soon. xxxx

You were taken too soon, Gerald. I always looked on you and John as my closest cousins, as we would always get together at Christmas, Easter and other occasions, and I remember the fun we had at Butlin’s Holiday Camp one year. I was just looking at the two pictures I still have from that time - you, John, Uncle Pat and Auntie Bella at one table, and me with Mum and Dad at the next. I will remember you as being kind and caring, and you were always willing and able to either pick me up or drop me off at the airport when I would come to visit Dad after he moved to Bristol. Rest in Peace, dear Gerald, and my sincere condolences to Jane and family during this difficult time.
Love Marian
